In its second weekend, Superman pulled in over $58 million, bringing its 10-day domestic total to an impressive $236.2 million. It was another win for Lilo & Stitch at the domestic box office over the weekend, with the film posting over $32 million in its third frame, outpointing newcomer Ballerina by nearly $8 million, and taking its 17-day North American total to $335.66 million. The animated feature will yield to another newcomer this weekend as How to Train Your Dragon makes its way into theaters.

The weekend before the Thanksgiving holiday is typically a big one, and this year is no exception. After an opening weekend that provided newcomer Red One with moderate success, the film will be one and done at the top of the box office, with the debut of Wicked and Gladiator II, which many suggest could be the biggest weekend since the “Barbenheimer” weekend during the summer of 2023. That said, the Dwayne Johnson feature holds on for at least one more week as the widest release in the land.

After a three-week reign as North America’s widest release, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice has finally dropped below 4,000 theaters, making room for last weekend’s newcomer, Transformers One, to edge into the top spot as widest release this weekend. It will barely surpass another debut, The Wild Robot, by just eight locations. This weekend, audiences can look forward to a variety of new wide releases.
