Army of Newcomers on the Per Theatre Charts

There were three films in the $10,000 club, and all of them were new releases led by Army of Shadows with $12,620 in its lone theatre. In second place was the Canadian / India co-production, Water, which earned $56,000 in five theatres for an average of $11,256. The final film was The Lost City with and average of $10,642 in 18 theatres.
Every other film in the top ten on the per theatre charts was also a new release, including three of the four wide releases this week. Another Canadian co-production, Clean, was the best of the rest earning nearly $15,000 in 2 theatres for an average of $7,477 while The Death of Mr. Lazarescu earned $5,880 in one theatre. Lady Vengeance didn't perform as well as the studio and fans would have liked as it made less than $10,000 in 2 theatres for an average of $4,925. Coincidentally, Three Times played in three theatres over the weekend bringing in just over $14,000 for an average of $4,732. The rest of the new releases were well back including Unidentified with $2,653, Guys and Balls with $2,475, and The Whore's Son with $2,157.
