Synopsis

It is the journey of a man who refused any compromise, from his childhood under an authoritarian father in interwar Romania, to the years of famine and the fight for survival in war-torn Germany. A film about the courage to believe in what seems impossible and about the price paid to remain steadfast in a world of compromise. About love, truth, integrity and sacrifice. About success that means nothing without the acceptance and recognition of loved ones. And about the longing for home, which always accompanied him, wherever he was.
