Thursday Night Previews: Us Scares up $7.4 million in Previews

Us opened with $7.4 million in previews, which is far better than expected. In fact, it’s not that far behind the $7.7 million earned by the most recent Halloween film. That film opened with $76.22 million during its opening weekend, but it was also playing right before Halloween, so that had an effect on the multiplier. Even so, with stellar reviews and being a new IP, Us should have decent legs and top our $54 million prediction. In fact, $60 million to $65 million seems more likely at this moment. We will know more this time tomorrow when the Friday Estimates come out.
