DGA Crowns Jackson for Return of the King
February 9, 2004
On Saturday, the Directors Guild of America celebrated their 56th annual awards. And while there were many winners only two awards were for theatrical releases.
The most anticipated award of the night, Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Motion Pictures, went to Peter Jackson for his work on Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. This continues the trend of Return of the King winning awards that the first two were only nominated for.
The other theatrical award went to Nathaniel Kahn for his work on the documentary My Architect.
