Synopsis
To celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary, Gerda and Kristoffer are given a trip to Rome, where Gerda studied art before her wedding. The ease of the journey is interrupted when a shadow from the past appears: Gerda’s former teacher and lover, Johannes. Enchanted and enlivened by his charming manner, Gerda remembers her childhood dream of becoming an artist and the secrets she kept from that time. Kristoffer soon suspects that there is more than just a friendly relationship between Gerda and Johannes. He is confused, and his doubts drive him into absolutely absurd situations. The Eternal City ignites a newfound vitality in Gerda. Will this trip decide the future of their marriage?
