Not a great week for home market releases. The best-selling DVD is The Proposal while Drag Me To Hell will likely be the best selling Blu-ray title of the week. Drag Me To Hell could have been a DVD Pick of the Week, but weak extras leads me to believe there will be a special edition coming out sooner rather than later.

In the Loop lead the way on the per theater chart with an impressive average of $23,983, and with its reviews, it should be able to expand significantly. (500) Days of Summer landed in second place with an average of $19,244, which is about a third less than its opening weekend average. But it is now playing in 85 theaters, which is more than triple its opening weekend theater count, so this is a fantastic hold. Those were the only films to top $10,000 on the per theater chart, but The Ugly Truth came relatively close with $9,579.

There were seven releases this week, including three wide releases. All three wide releases have websites that are at least average, with two have substantial extras, and one, G-Force's Official Site being worthy of the Weekly Website Award.

Summer is starting to come to a close on the limited release front, just as it is for wide releases. There are few releases in total, none of which seem destined to big hits theatrically, but two or three of them could find more receptive audiences on the home market.
