It's not a bad week on the home market (for this time of year anyway), with a few midlevel hits worth checking out, as well as an assortment of TV on DVD, Limited Releases, and others to fill in the gaps. Of the first run releases, Hot Tub Time Machine is the one I'm looking forward to the most and if it has a good selection of extras, it could be Pick of the Week material. However, the screener won't be shipped to me till tomorrow, so the review will be a few days late at the earliest. That leaves Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage - Blu-ray as the clear Pick of the Week winner.

When The Eclipse arrived on my desk, my first thought was, "Please don't be yet another Twilight rip-off. I don't think I could handle any more." However, the only similarity they have is the name. Okay, they both have elements of romance and the supernatural, but that's still stretching it.

Only one film earned more than $10,000 on the per theater chart, and that was the overall box office leader, How to Train Your Dragon. That film earned an average or $10,785 in more than 4,000 theaters.

Just like last week, there is another large list of limited releases this week, and like last week, this includes one that appears to be opening in far too many theaters. On the other hand, there are many that are opening in just one theater, including Bluebeard, which is the best reviewed release of the week.
